maltastar.com ImageSean Connery the famous James Bond actor turned 80 yesterday. The actor, who’s evidently still got it, however may be retiring for good. “I don’t think I’ll ever act again,” Connery told The DailyRecord “I have so many wonderful memories but those days are over. I’ve done a voiceover for an 85-minute animated film called Sir Billi, which I enjoyed and it will be exciting to see that project finished.” Connery, who was knighted in July 2000, is best known for playing James Bond, in seven Bond films between 1962 and 1983. he has also won an Academy Award for best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables.[3] his film career also includes such films as Marnie, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Hunt for Red October, Highlander, Murder on the Orient Express, Dragonheart, and The Rock. Speaking to the British paper Connery implied that his decision may be down to his health. “during the summer, I wasn’t in pain but I wasn’t feeling great,” Connery said of his health concerns. “I came to the Edinburgh Film Festival in June then, when I left for the south of France, I realized I’d lost a little bit of weight and needed to change my regime. I’ve done that and the last few days have been pretty special with the family here. We’ve eaten non-stop and it has been a great celebration.” so is this the end, movie wise at least, for our shaken but not stirred superhero?
