Nicolas Cage: 'I Believe in Magic'
NICOLAS Cage believes in magic!
The actor — who's currently in a financial pickle — says he loved starring in new movie The Sorcerer’s Apprentice because it's all about wizardry.
"I absolutely believe in magic," he said.
"you can't really survive in the arts if you don't keep the magical child's mind alive.
"Magic is very simple, isn't it? It's really about imagination plus willpower, focus in such a way to create conscious effects in the material world.
"So every book is a work of magic, every science experiment is a work of magic, every speech that moves people is a work of magic, every movie is a work of magic."
Cage recently revealed that he once took magic mushrooms with his cat.
“I had a bag of mushrooms in my refrigerator. My cat used to sneak into the refrigerator and eat them," he said last month.
“The cat ate them voraciously, so I thought what the heck, I better do it with him. I remember lying on my bed for hours and Lewis was on the desk across my bed and we just stared at each other for hours — not moving, just staring at each other, and I had no doubt that he was my brother.”
