Russell Crowe has gone camping in a mystery location.

The 46-year-old Australian actor hasn’t been seen near his Sydney home in days and has now posted a series of bizarre messages on his Twitter account. In the posts, Russell reveals he is camping under the stars and gives a series of clues to his whereabouts before asking his fans to guess where he is.

“Today saved a novice atv rider from a plunge, gave love to pregnant girls, out waited a wallaby and will sleep with insects.Where am I? (sic),” Russell wrote.

An ATV is an All-Terrain Vehicle.

When no one could guess his location, Russell went online again to give a few more cryptic hints.

“9.16, bed time inthe bush,i'll wake when it's still dark so i can have a cup of irish tea and watch the world and the wallabies stretch. In the morning I'm going up the boohai shooting pookackers with a long handled shovel (sic),” he wrote.

“Up the Boohai” is a New Zealand slang term meaning an out of way place, leading several fans to guess Russell was in the tiny country. The star was quick to deny the claims, pointing out that there are no kangaroos or wallabies in New Zealand.

“no wallabies in nz (sic),” he wrote.

What a silly story. Yes, Crowe was "in the bush" for a few days as Australians know… but he was tweeting from his home away from home… his rural ranch at Nana Glen. He has been having some fun with fans on Twitter, as he does … using some Aussie slang. As for his "pregnant girls"… those are his horses. He'd mentioned earlier that a couple of them were in foal. He has been photographed riding ATV's at his ranch.

He was pictured at the beach in Sydney with his family this past weekend, by the way.
