EVA LONGORIA PARKER has turned to Twitter.com to reach out to fellow celebrities and encourage them to donate items to an upcoming charity auction for Haiti.

The Desperate Housewives star is helping to organise a special fundraiser to aid the ongoing earthquake relief effort in the country after it was left devastated by the tremors in January (10).

The actress is using the social networking site to contact stars including Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Sean 'Diddy' Combs and Mary J. Blige to urge them to get involved.

In one tweet to Swift, she writes, "Hey Taylor! we have a super simple idea for a charity auction 4 Haiti & would LOVE for U to be a part! Can we send U details?"

And the tactic appears to be working – Longoria Parker has already won the support of actresses Rosario Dawson and Alyssa Milano after messaging them on Twitter.

one post addressed to Milano reads: "Thanks to Alyssa Milano for joining our celebrity charity auction for Haiti! it launches on September 15th & is going to help so many kids!"

Longoria Parker has been busy boosting awareness about the continuing need for aid in the Caribbean nation and is working with the charity A Home for Haiti to raise cash for sturdy, waterproof tents to provide shelter for the homeless.
