Note that I am leaving this on June 15th the date of the total Lunar eclipse right next to summer solstice.

Okay, you can ask a thousand different people and get a thousand different answers. The more experienced owners/breeders/handlers will give more "specialised" advice, while the layman will give basic advice, and the average owner will give textbook advice.

The ONLY advice that can be safely given online for things like this is: "discuss it with your vet". He/she will take the dog's age/size/weight/condition into account when advising you, and will be able to check their teeth and eyes and ears, etc, at the same time to help you detect any problems early. They'll also be able to give you advice on whether your pup is growing at an acceptable rate and whether adjustments need to be made.

Until your dog is two years old, I'd be taking it to the vet at least every two months, even if just to weigh him and get a general opinion of his condition. If nothing else, these regular visits will help to avoid "vet phobia" in your dog.
