Arctic Air Provides Cold Start to the Week

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS is tracking another surge of arctic air Monday, with single digit temperatures in the afternoon, followed by a cold week ahead.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl says temperatures will probably stay 10 to 15 degrees below normal until Friday, when another warm up begins.

Light snow greeted drivers Monday morning as they prepared for the commute to work.

More than 30 schools reported delayed starts to KSTP.com Monday morning because of the weather, including Montevideo Schools and Redwood Falls Schools.

the cold air should keep the Twin Cities dry most of the week, with a mix of clouds and sunshine expected through Thursday.
