Become Rich: Harnessing the Power of Meditation to Get You There From Here
Here's the best news of the new year: If want to do, be, and have more in your life – of anything you can imagine – you are, right this instant, just a heartbeat away from making it happen.
Because if you're going to become rich in 2012, you have to view success as an inside, out job.
You've probably heard that a million times before, right?
But think about this: If you aren't achieving the kinds of results you want in your business or personal life, not making the kind of money you know is possible, not living the life of your dreams as a result, then the magnitude of that statement hasn't yet sunk in.
Because the truth is that you are creating every experience you have, simply by the types of beliefs you hold (and the thoughts that fuel those beliefs).
Which means that you – and only you – get to decide what kind of success you have, or don't.
Believe me, I've been on the other side of prosperity consciousness (aka poverty consciousness). I've been absolutely broke (like, no gifts at Christmas for the kids, broke. yikes), and I know just how much it stinks to feel like a failure in spite of my best efforts.
The problem wasn't the systems I was putting into place. After all, if the top business people use the same system to become rich, then it obviously works.
In truth, the problem was with me and my beliefs. Around money. And success. What was possible. And what I deserved.
If that sounds familiar, and you're ready to take your business or personal life to a whole new level (and become rich as a result), it's time to incorporate a daily meditation practice.
Because let's face it: there's a ton of training out there that will show you how to build a business, improve your life, and become rich (if that's what you want).
But it won't do squat for you if something inside is holding you back. And you're definitely not going to become rich in the process. I guarantee you that.
So. What do you say? Are you ready to make massive changes in your life, beginning right here, right now?
Ready to make this year the year that you break in, break through, and break away from everything that's been keeping you stuck, and become rich in the process?
Then it's time to put an effective meditation practice into place. Here are three guidelines for doing just that:
1) Dedicate time every day, once in the morning, once at night, to your practice. 10 minutes at both ends of the day will do fine (30 is optimal).
2) Make sure that everyone around you knows that this is your time so that you're not interrupted. Don't forget to turn off your mobile phone, put the laptop aside, etc. In fact, remove all distractions.
3) Choose a guided meditation that will teach you how to follow your breath, the beating of your heart, or a simple phrase, repeated over and over. The goal of meditation is to get quiet, so however you accomplish that is up to you. Just make sure that what you use to get you from here to there opens up that delicious space inside where you are quiet, at peace, and open to the insight and inspiration that will surely come as a result.
One more thing: While meditation is something that is popular in eastern traditions, a daily practice does not, by any means, need to interfere with your personal beliefs. In fact, meditation goes hand in hand with prayer, reflection, and any other soul-nurturing exercise you might do, so don't let labels keep you from moving forward.
So. What are you waiting for? Time to get cracking.
Here's to an outrageously prosperous 2012. for you, and those just like you, all over the world.
