It's a girl! David Schwimmer and his wife, Zoe Buckman, welcomed their first child, Cleo Buckman-Schwimmer, earlier this month.
The former Friends star, 44, wed Buckman, 25, in June 2010 after dating for three years. News of their first pregnancy came in December, and the baby was born May 8 in New York City.
Schwimmer tweeted earlier today, "Hey everyone. Please welcome my daughter, Cleo, to this crazy but wonderful world."
When Schwimmer talked to People in 2006, he told the magazine that he was excited to become a father one day. "It will happen when it feels right," he said. "Maybe part of me is waiting for myself to slow down a little and be ready to stay put. I'm confident it's gonna happen."
Schwimmer is now working on the film Madagascar 3. He will be continuing his role as Melman, the neurotic giraffe from the New York Zoo.
