Easy Guitar Songs to Learn – Modern Acoustic Classic by Britney

Easy Guitar Songs to Learn Modern Acoustic Classic by Britney Image

Easy guitar songs to learn are in high demand by beginner guitar players. In recent years, we have continued to see acoustic cover versions of songs by contrasting artists. The first time I heard this song by Britney Spears it had already started to take over the world, helped by its impressive production and iconic video. Baby One More Time wasn't something you would expect to hear on an acoustic guitar actually sounding good, but it does.

Travis, a Scottish Band which you might consider the antithesis of Britney Spears, covered the song for UK Radio One and it was very warmly received by the public. Fortunately, it's an easy song for beginners to learn as it has four basic guitar chords that would probably be covered in the first couple of guitar lessons. Although there is a distinct verse and chorus to the song, the chords just repeat all the way through the song regardless.

When played on an electric guitar with overdrive, it sounds like one of those easy guitar riffs you'd hear from a rock band rather than Britney Spears. This goes to show the versatility of the guitar. Once you have played it, you can decide how you think your guitar sound would suit the song the best.

There are easy guitar tabs available for popular rock songs but I think that if you showed up and played a Britney Spears classic in a rock or acoustic style, it would certainly get people talking about your guitar skills. The guitar tabs, guitar chords and lyrics to this song can be found in much greater detail on the internet, but the chords along with the opening lyrics are as follows:

A minor – x 0 2 2 1 0 Oh baby, baby

E major – 0 2 2 1 0 0 How was I supposed, to know

C major – x 3 2 0 1 0 That

D minor – x x 0 2 3 1 something wasn't

E major – 0 2 2 1 0 0 right here

There are a lot of easy guitar songs to learn but this has got to be one of the simplest and most famous songs to play. The simple guitar chords you see above repeat all the way through.
