Forget Your Dreams – Where Are You NOW?
Do you know where you are now as far as what you want to have and what you do have? In others words, before you turn the heat up on disagreeing with the statement above to Forget Your Dreams, hear me out on this.
The only way you can get what you want is to know what is that you do want – thus, your dreams are critical to your success and we will get to that process in a minute. However, just as important in the process of getting what you want out of life starts with where you currently are.
Yes, as we have all heard and it's been proven over and over that in order to manifest what you desire and create your dream life you visualize your dreams, apply the same emotion that you would as if it were already true, take action and stay in the belief that it will happen. Every successful athlete, business person, and an endless list of professionals know this.
BUT, don't stop there You are just like a GPS system in that you need to know where you are in order to get to where you want to go. So to do that, you must determine where you currently are so you can close the gap.
I challenge you right now to stop what you are doing and use these 3 quick tips to get you started toward manifesting what you desire.
Tip 1 – Define what you currently have and where you are in these 5 categories:
- Financial / Career / Business – where are you financially? Do you have more month at the end of the money, or more money at the end of the month? Are you bringing in the amount to simply survive or thrive?
- Health / Fitness – How is your health? Are you fit for your age?
- Spiritual – Are you honoring your soul and doing something you love to do?
- Relationships – How's that working for you? Are you in one and want out or one that you would to improve? How about the rest of the family?
- Personal / Contributions – Are you living in the house you want to, the children are going to the schools you want? Are you contributing to society in a way that's fulfilling to you? Are you enjoying life to it's fullest?
Now that you have determined where you are, set that aside for a moment. Don't dwell on these, especially if it's not where you want to be – simply use it for information moving forward.
Tip 2 -Now think of what you want. Using the 5 categories listed above, think of a minimum of 1 item per category of what it is that you would want (or want to change using your list). Here's where the fun part comes in, you get to create your life – so dream big Avoid limiting yourself to what you think you can have based on what you currently have. If it's not a stretch – go back to the dreaming board and recreate it Now, write these down in as much detail as you can. Clarity is key.
Tip 3 – Post these where you can see them on a daily basis and take action to make them happen You can create a vision or dream board, put these as a background on your computer, have them on your cell phone, or whatever works for your ideal life style. The goal here is to keep these in front of you so these pictures will help facilitate the change in your sub-conscious mind from what you had to what you want. You can make them even stronger by putting you in the picture. Have fun with this and affirm daily that this is the new you. Remember to action daily even it's only one step toward your dreams.
For those of you who may be skeptical about this, this isn't a woo-woo process. It's the way the laws of the universe work. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't working. Think about the law of gravity, electricity, radio air waves, I could go on and on, but you get the point. Believing is seeing – not the other way around (as so many of us, me included, were brought up to believe).
As William Arthur Ward has been quoted:
If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it.
