Oh, the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss!  March 2 is the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel, so I wanted to spotlight a few frugal and fun ideas for celebrating!

1)  Make Oobleck!

Your child (and you!) will be fascinated with this substance.  Is it a liquid?  Is it a solid?  Hmmm…

Little Sprouts has a recipe over here.  We also made some here

2)  Study Dr. Seuss!

Jodi, over at Fun in first Grade, has put together a FREE printable unit on Dr. Seuss.  I can see this being easily adaptable for ages 4-7!  this is perfect for all you teachers or homeschoolers out there!

3)  Visit Seussville!

For all things Seuss, you must visit Seussville!  It's a wonderful place full of games, printables, and more!

4)  Make a Seuss Snack!

Of course, you could make Green Eggs and Ham, but with an egg allergy — we decided against that!  Check out our Cat-in-the-Hat inspired ice cream treat!

If you'd like an activity to go with the Cat-in-the-Hat, check out this simple patterning idea over at Teach Preschool!
