Bedouin Soundclash and Sloan will play a free show tomorrow at Toronto's Yonge-Dundas Square beginning at 7:30 p.m. It's part of a full day of CBC-related activities, which will also include Jian Ghomeshi hosting his Q Live program with appearances from Zeus and City And Colour's Dallas Green, among others. —The Stroumboulopouli Montreal DJ CFCF's second mixtape, Do U Like Night Bus?, is available for free download through The Fader now. Labelmates Justin Rutledge and Jenn Grant will tour Canada this fall on their Letter J tour. unfortunately, no Sesame Street characters will accompany them. It'll feature  original tunes by the Smashing Pumpkins, Silversun Pickups, Goldfrapp and more. —EMICharlatans drummer Jon Brookes has been diagnosed with brain cancer and is undergoing treatment for the condition. The Charlatans were forced to cancel their entire North American tour this week after he collapsed on stage in Philadelphia last Wednesday. —NME Zutons frontman Dave McCabe has been found guilty of assaulting a man who insulted the rocker's girlfriend. He'll be sentenced soon. —NME Muse's Matt Bellamy has been giving guitar lessons to actor Kurt Russell. why? well, it might have something to do with the fact that Russell's actress Goldie Hawn's partner, and Hawn happens to be Kate Hudson's mother.  for those who live under a boulder, Bellamy and Hudson are dating. —The Sun Stone Temple Pilots have delayed 12 shows, giving no reason for doing so.
