Do you give this news two snaps up?

Fox announced Friday night that it will bring back "In Living Color" as two half-hour specials in the spring with a new cast.

"In Living Color" aired from 1990 to 1994 on Fox. Keenen Ivory Wayans, creator of the series, will return as host.

What will these specials be like? In a release, Fox explained: "This is a modern-day take on the hit sketch comedy show that will feature a new cast of fresh, young talent, as well as musical performances by special guests."

Is it too much to hope that some of the special guests could be people whose careers were bolstered by the series?

They include Jamie Foxx, Jim Carrey, Jennifer Lopez, David Alan Grier and Damon Wayans.

The most popular sketch characters included Fire Marshal Bill (Carrey); the Buttman Family (they had buttocks where their foreheads should be); Homey D. Clown (Damon Wayans), who said, 'Homey don't play that'; and the Men on Film film critics Blaine Edwards (Damon Wayans) and Antoine Merriweather (Grier). The outrageous duo awarded "two snaps up."
