Look at Emily Blunt and Anthony Hopkins in Wolfman!

I had not heard of this film before (certainly, I have heard of the original), but it does have Emily Blunt, who all of the sudden seem to be in or attached everything-a good thing- the venerable Anthony Hopkins, and Benicio del Toro starring.

The Wolfman is a remake of the 1941 film and set in the later 1800s. along with the three noted above, it features Hugo Weaving, Geraldine Chaplin and the voice of Gene Simmons. We reportedly will get a online trailer release that coincides with release of the trailer of Cameron's Avatar.

The film is written by David Self (Road to Perdition, Thirteen Days ) and Andrew Kevin Walker (Se7en, Sleepy Hollow) and directed by Joe Johnston (The Rocketeer, Jumanji, Hidalgo).

Film Synopsis:

The Wolfman brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins. It is set in the late 1880s and follows Lawrence Talbot, a haunted-by-his-past nobleman who is forced to go back to his family estate and meet his estranged father after his brother vanishes. In his attempt to find his brother and his murderer, he discovers a horrifying destiny for himself.

Wolfman will hit theaters on February 12, 2010.
