One of the coolest actors out there is definitely Mark Wahlberg. Very few individuals have so seamlessly made the transition from music to establishing a very successful acting career. Not to mention the fact that Marky Mark was also an underwear model at one point. Regardless, he is now a full fledged actor, and a pretty good one at that.

But which films are his best? Here are some my personal favorite Mark Wahlberg movies.

The first film that I will mention of his is the film that helped him break out into the movie industry, The Basketball Diaries. This is a movie about basketball, but it is also about drug addiction and how it can derail anyone. This movie also stars Leonardo Dicaprio.

Another film that starred Mark Wahlberg that I thoroughly enjoyed was I Heart Huckabees. This is a bizarre, yet hilarious film that is really about nothing. It is as existential a movie as they come.

Another awesome movie that Wahlberg was in is The Departed. This was the 2006 Academy Award winner for Best Picture of the Year and gave director Martin Scorsese his first Academy Award for Best Director.

It is tough to make a list of Mark Wahlberg movies without mentioning Three Kings. This is one of the best war movies of the past 15 years, and it is great because it focuses on the Persian Gulf War, which is often overlooked in the film industry.

The final film that makes the cut for me is Boogie Nights. In this movie, Wahlberg stars as Eddie Adams, who rises to the top of the adult film industry as the superstar Dirk Diggler. Obviously not a great choice for little kids.

As it stands, this is my Mark Wahlberg list. I tend to like most of the movies he is in though.
