As 2011 yawns and 2012 dawns, it’s time to bestow special awardson celebrities who made the right or wrong moves during the past 12months.

To: Cameron Diaz, who visited Europe to promoteher edgy comedy “Bad Teacher” and told Britain’s News of the Worldthat “sex is my favorite sport.”
THE WHO’S YOUR DADDY AWARD
To: Elisabetta Canalis, 33, who, after breakingup with her longtime boyfriend, 50-year-old George Clooney, toldthe media that “between us, there was more of a father-daughterrelationship.”
THE FIRST SPECIAL SALUTE AWARD
To: Mila Kunis, the 28-year-old actress whoagreed to accompany Sgt. Scott Moore to a ball honoring his MarineCorps unit in Greenville, N.C. Bravo!
THE SECOND SPECIAL SALUTE AWARD
To: Justin Timberlake, the 30-year-oldsinger-actor who accompanied Cpl. Kelsey De Santis, a combatinstructor, to a Marine Corps ball in Richmond, Va. Bravo!
THE BETTER LATE THAN NEVER AWARD
To: Kiss bassist Gene Simmons, who marriedactress and former Playmate Shannon Tweed, his girlfriend of 28years.
THE I AM NOT SPOCK AWARD
To: Nichelle Nichols, who went on to play Lt.Uhura in the late Gene Roddenberry’s groundbreaking series “StarTrek.” In “Trek Nation,” a Science Channel TV special, Nicholsrecalled how she was asked to read for the role of Spock, whicheventually went to Leonard Nimoy.
THE FORCE ISN’T WITH HIM AWARD
To: William Shatner, who played Capt. Kirk onthe TV and big-screen versions of “Star Trek.” In a YouTubeinterview, the 80-year-old actor claimed his series was superior toGeorge Lucas’ “Star Wars,” saying: “ ‘Star Trek’ had relationshipsand conflict among the relationships, and stories that involvedhumanity and philosophical questions. ‘Star Wars’ was specialeffects.”

To: Jessica Chastain, a 30-year-old actress whoappeared in seven motion pictures set for release in 2011.
