The Last of Us: Beautiful Concept Art Appears

For awhile there, Grand Theft Auto series was dominating the video gaming industry news. Now, The Last of Us is holding gamers captive. There is just something so intriguing about the game. Maybe, there is something to what Neil Druckmann is saying about going beyond being just a video game and putting an emphasis on good stories.

Well, we don’t know what the full story is yet but we know that The Last of Us is no ordinary post-apocalyptic or zombie game. There is something else compelling about the game other than the fact that the lead teenage girl sort of looks like Ellen Page. Oh, the Juno actress won’t be lending her voice for Ellie, though.

Anyway, The Last of Us further draws us in with some awesome concept art from AllGamesData. The first picture shows main characters Joel and Ellie travelling the outskirts of what looks like San Francisco, or what’s left of it. The second picture shows the two laughing by a campfire. So, there are also some good times left in this future. The third picture shows the two apparently hiding from enemies.

The concept art further intrigues us. There is already a story brewing in those pictures even if nobody explains it through narration or any sort of explanation. We get a clearer picture of the relationship between the two survivors, the middle-aged Joel and the teenaged Ellie. I do hope that there will be more pictures coming out. I guess we won’t be seeing other characters including enemies at this point. The Last of Us must still be trying to preserve some of its inherent mystery.
