If you're ordering something online and you can't avoid using a credit card, ask a friend to buy it for you and pay him back later. Make sure this friend of yours isn't in a relationship himself or he'll have his own wife/ girlfriend to answer to.

Making gifts at home isn't a girl thing and you don't have to use glue and glitter to make your wife a gift. Do something simple like making her breakfast in bed or cleaning the house for her. Women would kill for a day free of house chores.
