Companies are finding that it is much greener and more profitable for workers to work from home. several companies have the employees come in to the office two to three days a week, and some companies allow employees to work completely from home. Some studies have found that 40 percent of the U.S. workforce holds jobs that are suitable for telecommuting.
According to TechCast, a George Washington University-based virtual think tank, by the year 2019, as much as 30 percent of the industrial world’s workforce will work from home two to three days a week.
Verizon initiated a study to track the time and fuel savings of 211 employees that began telecommuting in September 2010. within six months the employees saved over 18,000 gallons of fuel and they saved 10,680 hours (445 days) worth of commuting time.

Description
This is a freelance, offsite writing opportunity. The Motley Fool (www.fool.com) is dedicated to providing daily coverage of the markets and the world economy. we are looking for a talented, nimble Business Journalist to cover the business news beat for Fool.com, with a particular focus on market movements, major company news, and macroeconomic events. The writer will present facts, curate from sources around the Web, and add opinion to fulfill the Foolish mission to educate, amuse, and enrich.
The writer will focus on short, timely pieces that explain what happened but also go beyond with a mix of opinion and analysis. The Business Journalist must be able to take complex issues and translate them to our audience through clear language with a touch of humor, fun, and pizzazz when appropriate (and that's most of the time).
One more thing … we're sorry, but we are not currently accepting applications from freelance writers residing outside the United States.
Primary Responsibilities/Objectives:
Writes articles that are accessible, educational, relevant, and of interest to Motley Fool readers, customers, and members of the Fool community.
Follows stock market movements and macroeconomic reports to determine appropriate coverage of most relevant companies and news, along with other team members.
Shares burritos with Fool editors when appropriate.

*100-130 (max!!!) words per deal
*For your research: use merchant website / external review sites / other press
* Don't write titles / little details. we just want the witty deal description.
