Watch Out, Colt McCoy of Texas

The college football season of 2009 was supposed to be the story of three great quarterbacks leading three great teams while battling for a championship game that can only host two. Colt McCoy, Sam Bradford, and Tim Tebow and their high-powered teams were going to make this one of the most memorable seasons ever.

Well, the good news is that 2 teams (Florida and Texas) are still looking pretty good. Each of them hold their destiny in their own hands – if they don't lose, they play for the national championship. But if I were Colt McCoy, I would be getting a little nervous.

You see, in the first game of the season, Sam Bradford got knocked out right before half-time with a separated shoulder. Oklahoma lost the game against BYU and took themselves out of immediate contention for the national title. Looks like Bradford will not be playing against Miami which means the soonest he will be back is week 5.

Then Tim Tebow's consciousness lost the battle with a teammate's knee. As he was being sacked by a Kentucky lineman, Tebow fell hard against his offensive lineman's knee and lay motionless for some scary moments. From all accounts, Tim is doing much better and will play against LSU in Florida's next game.

So just watch out, Colt, and be careful. College football is a very quick game played by very powerful athletes, and you want to be healthy for the rest of the season and on into your NFL career.
