The banter between Star Trek star William Shatner and Star Wars star Carrie Fisher continues.

The feud between the actors who, respectively, brought Capt. Kirk and Princess Leia to life began on Sept. 20 when Shatner declared Trek superior to Wars. He added that the female characters in Trek were more attractive.

Fisher replied Nov. 16 by challenging Shatner to don his famous Trek uniform. She claimed that she could wear the classic metal bikini Leia wore in Return of the Jedi (1983).

Now, Shatner has a response.

“As for you in a bikini and me in my original costume, I don’t know if we’re ready for you in a bikini,” he joked. “My costume was made of a stretch material, so there wouldn't be any difficulty in giving it a push here and there … But you in a bikini? Now? (That) needs a little more than push and pull. It needs a lot of uplift.”

Shatner added that Star Wars had great special effects, but they were utilized at the expense of story, as well as character and plot development. A photo of hated Star Wars character Jar Jar Binks appeared on the screen while Shatner made his statements.
