World Series of Poker, A Perfect World
Thousands of players from all over the world (115 countries) took part in 2010 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. And finally on Friday, only the nine finalists were left, for the last and most important event that will take place in November. The World Series of Poker has now a long history (40 years), but thanks to the televisions and internet, poker has got an unbeliveable explosion of interest all over the world.
Many people believe that The WSOP could be the new American dream. In a period so difficult for the economy a little shine of hope for all the people. Ryan Welch defeat nearly a thousand palyers in order to win half million dollars and a gold bracelet in one of the 57 events at 2010 World Series of Poker. Greg Raymer said, The month-long event in Las Vegas is what a real player dream about. The main event champion in 2004 Greg Raymer added, This is it, this is the big one, this is mean everything, you can play bad all the year, but if you play good in the most important event like the main event is, nothing else matters. Greg Raymer won $5 million when he got the main event in 2004, but this year the champion will get more than $9 million. The 21 years old Joe Cada won last year. He was the youngest ever champion of the World Series of Poker. The young generation is growing up and internet and online gaming are helping a lot.Television and other medias are bringing more players to the game. At the moment everybody could become a pro poker player with a good amount of luck and a little bit of skills. Online poker is spreading quickly. The comfort of home helps and a lot of player get confidence to the games, but when we are talking about the World Series of Poker, we are talking about another world.
