PESHTIGO, Wis. (AP) – The Peshtigo school board is holding a hearing Tuesday for a chorus teacher who allegedly sent a profanity-laced e-mail to State Rep. John Nygren (NEYE'-grihn).
Rob Schneider's March 25 email was forwarded to the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation.
It came as the partisan battle over Gov. Scott Walker's proposed budget bill had reached a fever pitch.
According to the DCI report, Schneider said he was drunk and upset he may lose his house if the bill was passed. He said he never intended to harm Nygren.
Schneider has been on administrative leave since April 4. Peshtigo Superintendent Kim Eparvier says the district and the school board will ultimately decide any discipline.
The Marinette EagleHerald reports ( http://bit.ly/lv986P) it was not successful in its efforts to reach Schneider.
